I found decent fish during practice, and put about 9 1/2 pounds in the boat without much effort. Tx day I visited the same spots and the fish seemed to shrink abit. I really needed more breeze for my jerkbait pattern to work like it did during practice. I ended up sight fishing for my larger fish in 12 feet of water. There were some smallies still on beds in those depths. A couple of decent largemouth also came off docks in the southern half of the lake.

I placed 117th with 7.12 pounds. This is an accomplishment for me, because in the three previous tx's there I never broke the 6 pound barrier for a limit.

Each time I learn more there, and can use the knowledge the next time I go back.
