In the Finger Lakes Region of New York State, Honeoye Lake is teeming with largemouth. A small lake, in the heart of wine country, it offers largemouth bass fishing opportunities for anglers of all skill levels. It is a great place to bring the family and children.
Conesus Lake, approximately 10 miles west of Honeoye Lake, also offers excellent opportunities for largemouth bass. Fish, in the six-pound class, are taken here annually. And, for the hearty souls, the smallmouth bass fishing really explodes here, starting sometime in October, right up until ice-up. Three to five-pound smallmouth are just waiting to give you a fight you won't soon forget.

Chautauqua Lake spans 13,181 acres stretching over 20 miles North to South and offers a wide range of species to chose from. Largemouth and smallmouth bass are abundant, as well as, walleye, crappie and muskellunge making it one of the finest and most challenging lakes to fish in Western New York. Though we specialize in fishing for bass you may select to chase any of the other available species when you arrange your trip. Whatever your desire, ultra light, medium or heavy action fishing the trip can be styled to fit your preference.
Bob Green, your New York State licensed guide has over 40 years of fishing experience. The most recent 25 years have been spent fishing and accumulating knowledge about Chautauqua Lake both as a local resident and as a tournament angler. As an educator by profession, Bob also offers on or off the water instructional lessons. These are available upon request.
You will be fishing from a fully rigged Ranger 461VS bass boat powered by a Johnson 150 hp Fast Strike motor. We have a variety of spinning and casting, highly maintained equipment to choose from. Our rods are Fenwick and Berkley; reels are Abu Garcia and are spooled with either Berkley Trilene or Stren line.

Jim Hanley - Lake Erie Smallmouth Guide
Jim Hanley has been operating a smallmouth guide service on Lake Erie for 15 years. His service will be in operation from the first Saturday in May until the end of November. Rates are as follows:
- $350 for 1 person for 7 hours
- $225 for 1 person for 4 hours
- $350 for 2 people for 7 hours
- $275 for 2 people for 4 hours
- $400 for 3 people for 7 hours
- $325 for 3 people for 4 hours
Jim states that all equipment is supplied, if needed, and clients are responsible for their own food and drink. Drift fishing and casting are the means of fishing from his 20' Bass Cat. The typical trip will produce 30-50 smallies averaging 2 1/2 - 2 3/4 pounds per fish, not to mention the occasional monster. Mark McGranahan operates Sparky's Charters and guides on Lakes Erie and Ontario as well as the Upper and Lower Niagra River. He targets bass, salmon, trout and muskie and with a trailered boat, he will easily go where you want to go.

Chautauqua Lake Fishing Charters

Chautauqua Lake Fishing Charters has been in operation since 1993 and is owned and operated by Randy Crist who is a licensed New York State fishing guide. Randy has lived near Chautauqua Lake for 40 years and is well versed with the region. Randy has spend countless hours fishing and learning all about the species of fish in Chautauqua Lake. The fish to target on Chautauqua Lake are Crappie, Walleye, Smallmouth and Largemouth bass. The musky fishing has greatly improved but it should be noted that Randy does not charter for Musky. He can make special arrangements for you via other licensed guides. You will be fishing out of new and well equiped Ranger 18ft bass boat and a 18ft Starcraft both powered by Mercury. Charter rates are $35.00 per hour with the majority of charters in a 4 hour block. All equipment will be provided. You will need to supply yourself with food, beverage, and foul weather gear.
